Admission Decisions
The Admissions Committee evaluates completed applications on a rolling basis beginning in December. Every effort will be made to punctually notify applicants who apply by the priority deadline of a decision. We will continue to receive and evaluate applications past the priority deadline and throughout the summer.
Basis for Admission Decisions
When making admissions decisions, the Admissions Committee considers all the information in an applicant’s file. The principal criteria considered are the LSAT score, undergraduate grade point average and personal statement. In addition, the Committee considers significant advanced education, writing ability demonstrated through the LSAT essay and personal statement, significant life experiences, and other information in an applicant’s file that indicates promise of academic excellence or diversity of background or perspective that will enrich the educational experience of the class.
Checking Your Status
All applicants may check the status of their application online. Upon completion of an applicant’s file, the Admissions Office will send him or her a “Notification of Complete Application Email” containing the applicant’s username and password for checking application status.
Please note that when you check your status the screen will display your file all the way up to and including the final admission decision (e.g., whether you have been admitted, placed in the standby pool, or denied).
Admitted Applicants
In addition to receiving notifications via the LSAC website, admitted applicants will receive an official Letter of Acceptance, which will include the non-refundable seat deposit information and scholarship offers.
Standby Pool Applicants
In addition to receiving notification via the LSAC website, applicants placed in the Standby Pool will receive an email.
Denied Applicants
In addition to receiving notification via the LSAC website, denied applicants will receive an email.
